You can verify the fix by running 'openclaw config get channel WhatsApp' — if you get a 'not found' or 'path not found' error, the credentials are gone. Second, and just as importantly, you need to unlink your device directly inside the WhatsApp app under Settings > Linked Devices. Forgetting this step leaves a backdoor open that can cause your agent to attempt to re-establish a WhatsApp gateway whenever a message trigger fires.
